Massimiliano Salini’s political career started while earning a Master of Law at the University of Milan. Here he was first elected to the university’s Academic Senate, before serving as President of the Conference of Students. He later joined the Regional Committee for the Coordination of the Universities of the Lombardy Region.
Following his studies, Salini joined the President’s staff in the Lombardy region. From 2000 to 2009, he worked in the private sector, holding executive-level positions with Società Cremasca Servizi S.p.A., Linea Group Holding and Linea Ambiente S.p.A. He re-entered public life in 2009 when he was elected President of Cremona Province.
Massimiliano Salini has served as a Member of the European Parliament since 2014.
