Whether it’s as a smart city, an eco-city or a resilient city, regardless of what we call it, all share a vision of sustainability and quality of life. To address such issues as urban mobility, housing, climate change, demographics, clean energy and waste management, smart cities are seeing the introduction of a wave of innovative – and often disruptive – products and services.
From intelligent mobility to the Internet of Things (IoT) and a plethora of location-based services for health, transportation, entertainment and everything in-between, space applications are driving innovation in today’s smart cities. This session will showcase best practices and practical examples of smart city solutions, smart decision support tools, and smart city applications that benefit from different space technologies (i.e. Copernicus data and products or EGNOS/Galileo services).
Participants will also receive an update on current projects and a forecast of the advanced technologies that may emerge over the next few years. You will also have the opportunity to learn about future industry trends, including enhanced satellite navigation and observation services.
