Joanna Balasis-Levinsen is a geophysicist, who joint the EEA in 2022.
She has always been working with Earth Observation Data; first in academia, then in a national mapping agency, and now at the EEA.
Key focus: ensuring that developed products meet the user needs and requirements.
Now she is doing that for the Copernicus Land Monitoring Service (CLMS) portfolio, implemented by the EEA. She is responsible for user uptake and, e.g., leads the development of the National Collaboration Programme: A tailormade collaboration program with interested member states to support the implementation of the CLMS on national, regional and/or local levels.
