Simone is an environmental engineer and holds a PhD in geospatial information for disaster management. He has a technical profile, close to the application of Earth Observation data.
He's an enthusiast of the Copernicus programme, currently working in JRC as project officer for the Land Monitoring Service.
In the past he had worked for several years in the operations of the Emergency Management service as well and in several projects related to the in-situ component of the Copernicus programme.
